This pre-fall tailoring collection is inspired by Japanese packaging(Furoshiki) and its traditional aesthetics. Unwrapping a present is meant to be a slow and graceful process, as the same attitude in discovering and treasuring a woman’s body and spirit.
“Mysterious ” is a central element in Japanese aesthetics, and is significant in my collection as well. The closures on garments are designed to be ambiguous. None of the closures is visible; they are snaps hidden under a diagonal placket, invisible zippers on the side or princess line, or as the knot.
This collection is designed for a graceful lady with refined taste of couture. She is gentle, intellectual and insightful. She likes luxurious fabric, and is willing to spend money on garments that are meticulously constructed and finished. She is ageless, just as her ageless elegant spirit.
